Trust Gone Wrong: Tair Rada
The murder of Tair Rada is one of the most high-profile and debated criminal cases in Israel. On December 6, 2006, Tair, a 13-year-old student, was found murdered in a restroom at her school in Katzrin after failing to return to class.
Investigators arrested Roman Zadorov, a construction worker at the school, who later confessed during interrogation. He was convicted in 2010 based on his confession and additional forensic findings, and his conviction was upheld through multiple appeals.
However, the case remained the subject of ongoing legal challenges and public scrutiny. In 2023, following a retrial that re-examined the evidence, Zadorov was acquitted of the murder.
